Chelsea star makes Colwill transfer promise after England win U21 Euros
Levi Colwill has been sent a clear transfer message by Chelsea colleague Noni Madueke following the youngster’s role in England’s Euro U21 triumph on Saturday.
The Young Lions defeated Spain 1-0 thanks to a free kick from Manchester City’s Cole Palmer shortly before the break, while goalkeeper James Trafford, who will shortly move from the champions to Burnley, made a penalty save late in the match.
Colwill, though, was a key member of a side that did not concede a single goal throughout the tournament.

It was a performance that only served to increase his reputation after a fine season on loan at Brighton.
The 20-year-old has suggested that he wants to remain at the Seagulls, yet they face a battle to secure his signature, with Liverpool also interested.
Chelsea, though, are adamant that they will not lose one of the leading defensive prospects in European football. This was reinforced by Madueke’s comments after the match.

Colwill started an Instagram live after the game and asked Madueke what he had to say. The winger said: “We’re both coming back. He is as well. Listen, I’ll make sure he comes back!”
The centre-back responded coyly, taking the camera away from his Chelsea clubmate.

Romano reveals Chelsea’s transfer stances
Shortly after the incident, football transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter to reiterate Chelsea’s stance over Colwill.
He said: “Chelsea’s position on Levi Colwill remains clear: not for sale, part of future of the project and a new contract to be discussed again soon.”
Colwill, whose contract at Stamford Bridge is up in 2025, is enjoying a rapidly growing reputation but is reportedly seeking guaranteed first-team football and he is fearful he will not get the exposure he wants at Chelsea.
