Chelsea are hoping to offload four players this weekend as preparations for their pre-season tour in America ramp up.

The Blues are set to jet off to the States on 17 July, and would like to trim down their squad even further before they fly for the three-week tour.

The Blues have already managed to raise €240 million through player sales this summer, with seven players being sold for a fee, four departing on free transfers and one - David Datro Fofana - leaving on loan.

Kai Havertz (€70m) and Mason Mount (€64.2m) have been the most profitable sales so far this window, while three stars have left for Saudi Arabia - Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante.

However, Chelsea are not done yet and, according to the Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella, the Blues are hoping to sell Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this weekend.

More departures this weekend

Lukaku, Ziyech and Aubemayng are not expected to be included in Chelsea’s squad after Mauricio Pochettino pushed their Cobham return date back to Monday. They were previously meant to return to the club’s training base this week, but were told they were not required to turn up.

Hudson-Odoi is currently training with Chelsea’s U21 squad and the Blues are hoping that all four players will be off the books by the time they set off for America.

Inter Milan remain the front-runners in the race to sign Lukaku, but the Serie A giants have not yet submitted an offer deemed acceptable by Chelsea. The Blues are also in dialogue with Fulham regarding a possible move to their west London rivals for Hudson-Odoi, while Ziyech and Aubameyang’s futures remain uncertain.

The former failed a medical at Al-Nassr before rejecting a lower contract offer from the Saudi Arabian club. Chelsea would like to sell Aubameyang to the Saudi Pro League too, with his wages proving problematic for any potential suitors in Europe.

Interestingly, Hudson-Odoi (16), Lukaku (15) and Ziyech (14) are the three players with the most goals for Chelsea in the Blues' current squad. If all three players leave the club this summer, Reece James (11) will inherit top spot.
