CONFIRMED: Everton in talks for Man Utd winger Anthony Elanga
Everton are looking at Leeds players Wilfred Gnonto and Jack Harrison but it’s a deal for Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga that is nearing and there is confidence that it will be concluded soon.
It would mark Everton’s second purchase of the window. The club wrapped up a deal for Ashley Young on a free transfer after his agency, CAA Base, offered the veteran to a number of Premier League sides: Luton Town offered similar terms but the former Aston Villa man opted for Everton.
They also have am ambition to purchase a striker - Leeds’ striker Rodrigo was giving the club great consideration but Everton pulled out when his representatives asked the side to match the £200,000 per week that Qatari club Al Rayyan offered.

We are told that Sean Dyche is looking to bring in about five new recruits ahead of next season but that he would have to move on members of his current squad to see that realised.
Given their current financial predicament, the club are looking to offer low-paying instalments for their targets, in a bid to ensure that a relegation fight does not go to the wire next season.

Marco Silva, who we revealed recently moved on from agency ProEleven, had discussed Iwobi's importance to Everton last season.

“Iwobi is doing well and showing the quality I knew he had," Silva said. "He can play out wide or in the middle like he is now and is a dynamic player.
"It is clear to me that he is helping Everton a lot on and off the ball and the players around him are giving him the support to play with a bit more freedom as well." (
