Real Madrid would like to resolve the Kylian Mbappe situation before their first La Liga game of the new season kicks off on 12 August, according to reports.

Los Blancos have been perennially linked with a move for the Frenchman this summer after expressing their desire to sign him in recent years.

Furthermore, PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to sell Mbappe this window to avoid losing him on a free transfer in 2024.

Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal have submitted a world record €300 million fee for the 24-year-old, which has been accepted by PSG, while Premier League clubs Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked as well.

But, interest from Liverpool has hit the media headlines lately. The Mirror have reported that Jurgen Klopp’s side have entered into sensational talks with PSG over a possible season-long loan deal for Mbappe.

The Frenchman is currently frozen out at the Parc des Princes and a loan move to Anfield could work out for all parties: Liverpool get arguably the world’s best player for a year, Mbappe gets top quality football for one season before leaving PSG next summer, and the Parisians will receive a loan fee and won’t have to pay his wages.

Mbappe to Real Madrid?

According to ESPN, the Spanish giants want the situation surrounding Mbappe, and a possible move to the Santiago Bernabeu, to be resolved within the next two weeks before the new La Liga season starts.

They do not want the transfer saga to drag on towards Deadline Day, but are currently waiting for either Mbappe or PSG to make the first move.

Real Madrid have already signed Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, Fran Garcia and Joselu (loan) so far this summer, but could yet add Mbappe to their ranks to replace the departed Karim Benzema, who has joined Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad on a free transfer.
