Liverpool arrival hints at Klopp’s next transfer move
Liverpool sporting director Jorg Schmadtke has given some clues as to where the club might make their next move in the transfer market.
Schmadtke joined the Reds in May and has already helped secure the signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Domninik Szoboszlai from Brighton and RB Leipzig respectively.
But Jurgen Klopp and co. are unlikely to end their summer business there – and Klopp’s German compatriot appeared to suggest they could dip into the Bundesliga market again.

In an interview with Sky Sport in Germany, Schmadtke explained: “Of course there are always players in Germany who are attractive. Then my experience on the market is in demand – because of course I know a little bit about how payment is made, how the other side proceeds in negotiations.
“The German market is my home market and easier for me, of course – but it's not like we've all pointed our telescopes to Germany.”
Schmadtke also confirmed that, so far, he has only signed a short-term contract with Liverpool. He continued:
“We're waiting until the end of August. We've signed an annual contract but have the opportunity to ask each other in August are we both still sure or not? If someone isn't sure, then we shake hands and I might get a ticket if I want to stop by.”

Two out, two in?
Despite making two quality midfield additions already, Liverpool look set to be left with two more gaping holes in that department.
Jordan Henderson is poised to link up with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq, with Fabinho expected to join fellow Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad.
Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips, Crystal Palace’s Cheick Doucoure and Kalvin Phillips are among the names being linked with moves to Anfield as potential replacements.
