Saudi Arabia to offer €50m for ANOTHER Liverpool star
Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal are prepared to offer €50 million for Liverpool forward Luis Diaz at the request of manager Jorge Jesus, according to reports.
Diaz, 26, missed the majority of last season through injury, but returned for the final few games of the campaign and is expected to play a major role at Anfield next year.
However, Jurgen Klopp could be deprived of one of his best assets following interest in Diaz from the Saudi Pro League.

The Colombian winger still has four years left on his Liverpool contract after signing a five-and-a-half-year deal upon joining the club from FC Porto in January 2022, but the Reds do not want to sell him this summer.
According to Portuguese outlet Record, Diaz is admired by Al-Hilal manager Jesus and the Saudi side are preparing to lodge a €50m bid in an attempt to persuade Liverpool to sell.
But, Klopp is determined to keep hold of Diaz and will not sanction a sale this window as the 26-year-old is firmly planted in Liverpool’s plans for next season.
EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool consider Leon Goretzka to bolster midfield
The Reds have a plethora of attacking options for the 2023/24 campaign, but they did lose Roberto Firmino on a free transfer to Al Ahli. Furthermore, both Fabinho and Jordan Henderson could be joining the Brazilian in the Saudi Pro League.
Fabinho and Henderson to Saudi Arabia?
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, “Al-Ittihad are set to approach Liverpool with a concrete offer to buy Fabinho. The Saudi Pro League club's bid for the Brazilian international, 29, is expected to be worth £40 million and it is anticipated a decision will move quickly one way or the other.”
In addition, Henderson has been offered a mouth-watering weekly salary of €816,000 (£700,000) per week to join Al-Ettifaq, who are currently managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
However, Klopp is reluctant to sell both without signing at least one more midfielder; Southampton’s Romeo Lavia appears the most likely option.
Liverpool have already seen Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain depart this summer, and that trio could soon be joined in leaving Anfield by Fabinho and Henderson. But, Diaz is extremely unlikely to be accompanying them to pastures new.
Al-Hilal, the team interested in signing Diaz, have already added Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic so far this summer.
