Onana will reunite with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford with United sending a fee of €52.5m to San Siro - making Onana the fourth most expensive goalkeeper in football history.
It's believed Onana will sign a five-year deal at Old Trafford and the club will apply for a visa in time for him to join their pre-season tour of the United States.

Onana Man Utd's second summer signing
The capture of Onana fills a massive void in the United squad after long-term goalkeeping star de Gea left the club when his contract expired last month. He had been a fixture between the posts since 2011.
Onana's arrival is the second major signing of the summer for ten Hag, after he captured Chelsea and England midfielder Mason Mount for a fee of £55m.
Now attention at Old Trafford will turn to the search for a striker, with both Tottenham star Harry Kane and young Dane Rasmus Hojlund (Atalanta) seen as potential additions.
