Napoli’s HUGE offer takes Osimhen away from Man Utd
Napoli have taken a step forward to keeping Victor Osimhen at the club for another season with a bumper new contract offer.
According to Nicolo Schira, Napoli have offered Osimhen a new deal until 2027 with a big salary increase to €6.5 million per season plus bonuses.
A minimum fee release clause will also be inserted into the contract but it will not be valid until July 2024.

"And I won it with a club that appreciates the little things you do for them...Now I’m addicted, and I can’t wait for the new season to come."
"I have never seen a city crazier about football like the way the Neapolitans are," he added. "They show all their players love. And wherever I go to, I am being respected. Kids love me, a lot of people admire me, they idolize me by putting on the replica of my mask."
"It shows the hard work I have given to them and what I mean to them. And for me, there’s no better place to be than this place."
"I am so happy I made the right choice by coming here. And achieving this kind of greatness with the Neapolitans is something that I will wake up and always smile about."
Manchester United are leading a host of big European clubs - including Bayern Munich, Chelsea, PSG and Newcastle - in the chase for Osimhen.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has been demanding as much as €150 million for his star man, which has scared off some of the interest.

The feeling in Italy is that Osimhen is now looking more likely to stay next season.
Osimhen enjoyed a stunning 2022-23 season, scoring a brilliant 31 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.
With 26 Serie A goals, he finished the top scorer in the Italian top-flight as Napoli won their first Scudetto in 33 years.
He also struck five times in the Champions League as Napoli reached the quarter-finals before being beaten 2-1 on aggregate by AC Milan.
Osimhen’s absence due to injury in the first leg has been cited as a key reason why Napoli lost the tie.
