Victor Osimhen is the toast of Europe after firing Napoli to a first Serie A title in 33 years, but most of his potential suitors have no chance of signing him according to former Italy midfielder Salvatore Bagni.

Osimhen hit a league-high 26 goals as Napoli won their third Scudetto, and first since the Diego Maradona-inspired triumph in 1990.

Since then, a host of clubs have been credited with an interest in the Nigerian striker, from Manchester United and Chelsea to Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

It is understood that Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis wants €150 million to even consider parting ways with a player whom FootballTransfers values at €70m, and there are only a handful of clubs in the game who could meet that asking price.

Osimhen's wife is German, while he grew up idolising Chelsea's Didier Drogba, but that doesn't mean either Bayern or the Blues have a chance of signing Osimhen according to Bagni.

'Manchester United and Real Madrid' for Osimhen

"Victor Osimhen won't return to France because he already played there [for Lille]," he told the Evening Standard. "The same thing with Germany [Wolfsburg]. He doesn't go to Liverpool or Chelsea because they do not play the Champions League [next season].

"Of all the teams associated with him, for me, he would only go to Manchester United and Real Madrid. He's not interested in the other teams."

Whilst United and Real would no doubt love to have Osimhen in their ranks, both would now appear to have other targets.

Madrid have signed Joselu on loan from Espanyol as a stop-gap before trying to sign Kylian Mbappe on a free transfers from PSG next summer, while United's protracted takeover has parked big money moves for Osimhen or Harry Kane, with Rasmus Hojlund - Atalanta's Danish youngster - emerging as a more viable target this summer.
