Arsenal 'reach agreement' on major transfer, David Ornstein announces
Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement to sign Arsenal’s goalkeeper Matt Turner, according to David Ornstein.
The USA international is now subject to a medical with the club, and it is believed to be taking place later on Monday. Turner joined Arsenal from the MLS side New England Revolution, and it is thought that the 29-year-old will be one of two goalkeepers that Forest sign in this window.
Dean Henderson is another deal that the side is working on, but Forest and Manchester United have been struggling to find an agreement over whether a loan-to-buy agreement can be put in place.

Raya and Arsenal's deal complete
This comes after FootballTransfers exclusively reported that David Raya’s transfer from Brentford to Arsenal is a done deal.
We were informed that all terms of the deal have been agreed upon to bring the Spanish goalkeeper to the Emirates, and Arsenal will pay a fee of between £25-30 million. Sources told us that the reason the transfer hasn't been officially finalised is that Arsenal is waiting for Turner’s move to Forest to be confirmed. However, it now appears that it is completed.
Indeed, once Turner’s transfer to Forest is confirmed, the signing of Raya will be completed and announced via Arsenal’s official channels. The keeper emerged as a surprise transfer target despite the presence of Arsenal number one Aaron Ramsdale, who helped his side win the Community Shield on Sunday.

Ramsdale has been a brilliant Arsenal servant since his £26 million move from Sheffield United in 2021, but Mikel Arteta has already shown that he is not afraid to drop players if he believes that there is a better option available, as demonstrated by his treatment of Bernd Leno, who left for Fulham.
Arteta is understood to be a big fan of Raya, particularly his ability to use his feet and his distribution, and FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that he plans to install the Brentford goalkeeper as his No.1 for the new season.
