Chelsea’s next transfer CONFIRMED by Romano
Lewis Hall will leave Chelsea to join Crystal Palace, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed, with a loan deal in place for the 18-year-old.
Hall was introduced to the Chelsea first team regularly last season by former manager Graham Potter, making his Premier League debut in November 2022 in a 1-0 loss against Newcastle. He had previously featured in an FA Cup tie a season earlier.
The teenage left-back gave a series of eye-catching displays between then and the end of the season, featuring in a total of 11 matches for the Stamford Bridge side, including nine times in the league, earning the acclaim of those who watched him.

Hall is now set to be loaned out to Crystal Palace for one season, following notably in the footsteps of Conor Gallagher, who completed a similar move two years ago to ignite his career. Similarly, Marc Guehi moved to Palace on a permanent basis in the summer of 2021 from Chelsea and has since developed into an England player.
Hall’s aim is for the Selhurst Park side to have a similar impact on him.

Romano has confirmed the deal, stating on Twitter: “Lewis Hall will become new Crystal Palace player this week. Positive talks took place on player side after the agreement reached with Chelsea last week.
“Loan move until June 2024.”
Hall’s enormous potential
Lewis Hall was one of the leading full-backs in the Premier League last season based on the few minutes that he earned, according to data analytics experts SciSports.
Indeed, only five players outperformed the teenager, although it is noted that the small sample size of minutes he played is insufficient to draw an accurate picture of his form.
Nevertheless, the displays from the teenager were highly encouraging and mean that he is a player Chelsea fans will be keeping a close eye on in the season ahead while he features with Crystal Palace.
