Chelsea's Caicedo add-on clauses revealed - Ornstein
Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo in a deal worth €133 million (£115m), as per multiple reports.
The move comes after months of speculation linking the Ecuadorian to Stamford Bridge and weeks of negotiations between the two clubs.
Chelsea have spent the vast majority of the summer attempting to persuade Brighton to lower their €115m (£100m) valuation of Caicedo, but are now set to spend even more than the Seagulls’ original demand following Liverpool’s late bid on Thursday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s side saw a €127m (£111m) offer accepted by Brighton, but Caicedo wasn’t open to joining the Reds, with his sights set on joining Chelsea.
An agreement has now been reached, with the Blues to pay an initial €115m (£100m), plus a further €18m (£15m) in very achievable add-ons, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Furthermore, Brighton will also have a sell-on clause if Chelsea ever decide to offload Caicedo, although he is set to sign an eight-year deal, with the potential for a ninth, at Stamford Bridge, meaning it’s unlikely they look to sell anytime soon.

Ornstein has reported that Chelsea’s add-ons are split into £5m sections, with one-third coming via reaching European football and two-thirds based on appearances. It’s also understood that Chelsea offered a higher up-front cost than Liverpool.
Caicedo to Chelsea
Caicedo will become Mauricio Pochettino’s ninth summer signing after the arrivals of Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Lesley Ugochukwu, Robert Sanchez, Alex Matos and Diego Moreira.
In addition, the west London club hope to complete deals for Romeo Lavia, Deivid Washington and Michael Olise in the next week too.
Chelsea had hoped to unveil Caicedo during their Premier League game against Liverpool, but the deal was not completed in time and that dream was not possible.
The Ecuador international could have the chance to make his Blues debut against West Ham next Sunday.
