Everton are looking to bring in Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, according to reports.

The Toffees are considering whether to offload some of their defenders, such as Michael Keane and Mason Holgate and make a formal approach for the former Man Utd captain, reports TeamTalk.

The 30-year-old has recently been stripped of his captaincy at Man Utd and his future is undecided.

Erik ten Hag is looking to sell a number of his players in a bid to bring further funds for the transfer window, and Maguire’s future is open to speculation.

It is thought that Everton boss Sean Dyche is a big admirer of Maguire and he feels he can offer some much-needed experience to the setup for the next campaign.

West Ham have seen a bid of around £20million rejected for the defender already, and Man Utd are thought to want around £40m for the England international.

Onana's speaks out on Maguire

It comes after footage of Andre Onana screaming at Maguire during the side’s 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund went viral.

The new addition came in for some heavy flak for his shouting but he cleared it up in a post-match interview.

“I try to talk to them a lot because I know he’s a good player, he is one of the captains of the team,” Onana told MUTV.

“That’s big and he is good with the ball, so I would demand [from] him a lot and he’s a good, great guy.”

The Red Devils have already landed the signatures of Mason Mount and Onana and it looks like Atalanta’s Ramsus Hojlund is set to undergo his medical on Tuesday ahead of his £72million move. When a deal is finalised it would put the club’s spending over £150m so far.
