Salah to Saudi Pro League: Klopp reveals LATEST on proposed Liverpool exit
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has spoken out following rumours linking Mohamed Salah with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Interest in the Egyptian surfaced on Thursday, 24 August, with David Ornstein amongst many sources who revealed that Al-Ittihad had registered their desire to sign Salah this window.
The Athletic football correspondent reported: “Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad have reignited their interest in Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.

“It is unclear at this stage if a deal for Salah will materialise, with Liverpool maintaining the 31-year-old is not for sale.
“Salah’s agent had dismissed reports in early August linking the Egypt international with a move to the Saudi Arabian club.”
However, the possibility of joining former Liverpool team-mates Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho is open for Salah, who would join forces with Fabinho, Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante should he sign for Al-Ittihad.
But, Klopp has downplayed rumours of an exit and has stated that Salah is going nowhere.
What has Klopp said?
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Newcastle this weekend, Klopp told reporters: “There is nothing to talk about from our point of view. We don't have an offer. Mo Salah is a Liverpool player, essential to what we do. There's nothing there, and if there was something then the answer is no.
Klopp was then asked if Salah was committed to the club, which drew a response of: “100 percent.”
The former Borussia Dortmund manager subsequently spoke about the fact the Saudi Pro League transfer window shuts 20 days after the European one. “What is not possible is for our transfer window to close. And theirs to remain open,” he said.
“If they don't stop, how can we react? It's a challenge. We have to learn to deal with it.”
Liverpool have lost the likes of Naby Keita, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabinho and Henderson so far this summer, while Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo have joined the club.
