Man Utd ACCEPT transfer offer for midfielder
Manchester United have accepted an offer from Premier League new boys Luton Town to take young midfielder Hannibal Mejbri on loan for the upcoming campaign.
Mejbri spent last year on loan at Championship side Birmingham, featuring 38 times and scoring once with a long-range free-kick that was voted the club’s goal of the season.
The 20-year-old has impressed in pre-season for United and had attracted the attention of the likes of Monaco and Feyenoord, however the preference is believed to be for Mejbri to get Premier League experience.

Mejbri has made just three appearances for United since joining from Monaco in 2019 for a fee that could rise to €10 million with add-ons but he is still considered one of the club’s brightest prospects.
The Tunisian international has made 24 appearances for his country including appearances at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Mejbri is into the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, however United have the option to extend for a further season, although they will likely look to tie him down for the long-term to ward off any transfer interest.

Mejbri has featured regularly under Erik ten Hag during pre-season and was considered one of the brightest performers during wins over Wrexham and Leeds.
The midfielder has formed part of United’s youthful stars looking to play their way into first-team contention such as Kobbie Mainoo, Daniel Gore and Amad Diallo.
