CONFIRMED: Man Utd striker Mason Greenwood snubbed by Serie A clubs
Atalanta are unlikely to sign Mason Greenwood despite the injury of El Bilal Toure, who is set to be out for several months.
We are told that the Italian club are not willing to make a move for the Manchester United striker, who agreed to leave his current side after a lengthy investigation. Man Utd had offered Atalanta the chance to sign Greenwood on loan as part of the arrangement to bring in Rasmus Hojlund, but the Serie A outfit turned the proposed deal down last month.
Roma have also knocked back the chances of signing the player who used to work under Jose Mourinho, and it’s looking more likely that the striker will be heading to a club in Turkey.

There were talks of the Saudi Pro League wanting to sign Greenwood, in particular, Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq - but the Liverpool legend blasted the suggestion online, branding the story ‘fake news’ on Instagram.
Greenwood has another two years left to run on his contract and the option of a further 12 months.
Man Utd released a statement after the Premier League club launched a probe into Greenwood's arrest on suspicion of rape and assault after criminal charges against the 21-year-old were dropped in February.
The side have until the end of the transfer window to move the player on, or they will consider a contract termination, reports ESPN.

Man Utd statement
In a statement on Monday, the club said: “All those involved, including Mason, recognise the difficulties with him recommencing his career at Manchester United.
"It has therefore been mutually agreed that it would be most appropriate for him to do so away from Old Trafford, and we will now work with Mason to achieve that outcome.
"Based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture and that Mason did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged. That said, as Mason publicly acknowledges today, he has made mistakes which he is taking responsibility for."
