Man Utd straggler offered escape route with shock swap deal
Manchester United are reportedly set to offer Aaron Wan-Bissaka the chance to reignite his faltering career at a Premier League rival.
The right-back has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford as he battles for a first-team spot with Diogo Dalot.
Though Wan-Bissaka has started all three of United's Premier League games to date he has still not convinced Erik ten Hag that he is the right man for the job out wide.
A fresh start could help Wan-Bissaka regain his best form, and Wolves have emerged as a possible destination for the defender.
According to Football Insider, United have made contact with their Premier League colleagues over a potential swap deal to be completed this summer.
Wan-Bissaka would move to Molineux, while ex-Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo would go the other way to the Reds.
Why does Ten Hag want Semedo?
Semedo's attacking profile is more in line with what Ten Hag wants to see from his full-backs and letting the Portugal international go would also ease Wolves' financial anxieties, with the club reportedly struggling to meet Fair Play requirements.
Wan-Bissaka, however, is reluctant to leave, and says he is relishing the challenge of adapting his game to Ten Hag's system.
“The first thing for me is understanding what [Ten Hag] wants in possession and out, where he wants me. That's one thing that I'm enjoying doing," he told United's official website in a recent interview."
“I'm getting confidence with it so the aim is just to keep playing how I'm playing and met his demands."
