Saturday delivered plenty of action as people were trying to make sense of a crazy Deadline Day.

It was revealed that Arsenal had been snubbed on September 1 and that Liverpool are already thinking ahead to January despite the window only just closing. There's plenty to cover, so let's jump right in.

Exclusive: Arsenal snubbed

FootballTransfers was able to reveal that Arsenal explored a Deadline Day move for highly-rated Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi but were snubbed - and Zubimendi went on to score the day after.

Liverpool want another midfielder

Signing four midfielders in the summer window wasn't enough and Liverpool are already plotting a big-money move for another midfielder for January.

Paul Merson, meanwhile, has told the Reds to sell Mo Salah and use the money to buy Arsenal's Bukayo Saka.

Greenwood's loan

Mason Greenwood completed a shock loan to Getafe late on Deadline Day in a move that, unsurprisingly, sparked outrage.

Now, it has been revealed that Man Utd will cover more than half of his salary during his stint in Spain.

Getafe's coach, meanwhile, doubled down on his club's decision to sign the disgraced forward.

Bellingham equals Ronaldo record

Despite the hefty price tag, Jude Bellingham already looks like money well spent for Real Madrid and he just equaled Cristiano Ronaldo's scoring record.

Ferguson windfall

Brighton youngster Evan Ferguson also scored - three times actually - and a surprising club is set to earn a massive windfall when he inevitably moves for an astronomical fee.
