Chelsea are preparing a €60 million offer for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to Fichajes.

Vlahovic has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge on several occasions, including in the recent summer transfer window.

However, a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku was discussed - which the two clubs failed to agree on. Lukaku is now on loan at Jose Mourinho's Roma.

So, the Blues went into the 2023-24 campaign with Nicolas Jackson as their main striker, having signed him from Villarreal a few months ago.

But Jackson has struggled at Stamford Bridge and Mauricio Pochettino's side are reportedly lining up a January deal for Vlahovic.

The Serbia international has already scored four goals and provided an assist in Serie A for Juventus this season.

He did struggle in the last campaign - his first full season after joining the Old Lady from Fiorentina - but he looks to have put that behind him.

There is a realistic chance that he would decide to stay at Juve, who are unbeaten in their first four league games, although a move to west London would be an extremely lucrative one.

Nicolas Jackson struggles

Nicolas Jackson only scored 12 goals in La Liga last season, but the majority came in the last few months.

It was this red-hot form that earned him a move to Chelsea, and many thought he was a steal at just €37 million after an impressive preseason.

However, the Senegal striker has struggled at Stamford Bridge, scoring just once in five games.

And what is particularly concerning is that Pochettino's side are creating plenty of chances - he keeps missing them.

Indeed, his shocking miss in Chelsea's 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest may have convinced the board to splash out on a striker in January.
