After the striker travelled back to Carrington training ground on the coach from Turf Moor, Rashford crashed his £700,000 Rolls Royce, though he was fortunately left unhurt.

Images emerged online showing that his car had been dented and sat on the side of the road. Police were present and had the scene cornered off.

The Sun reports that Rashford was ‘shaken’ but ultimately unhurt following the crash. The 25-year-old played against the Clarets on Sunday as he side collected all three points. Bruno Fernandes scored the match-winner with a volley as Rashford played a full 90 minutes.

Man Utd delivered another dour display, looking sluggish in the middle of the park and sloppy in front of goal. They were unable to dominate proceedings and relied on Fernandes’ sublime finish to catch the victory against struggling Burnley.

Before the match, Rashford emphasised that it was important for the Red Devils to get back into winning ways. He said “One good result, one good performance, can be a game-changer at this club. It’s a difficult position and I’m not as happy as I’d like to be, but there’s only one way to get back this happiness is to seek results.”

“We know the effect that a victory can have on the team and then it’s up to the players to show consistency. That’s what we lacked. Last year, we were very consistent at home, but very irregular away.”

The win puts Man Utd up to eighth in the Premier League table after playing six games.
