Ten Hag favourite takes SWIPE at Man Utd and shows what they MISSED OUT on
Jean-Clair Todibo has revealed why he did not want to move to Manchester United after a massive performance against Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain.
Man Utd and OGC Nice share many connections. INEOS boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is vying to take over the Red Devils, is one of them. On Friday (September 15), the Nice owner witnessed a stunning performance from a player who, in a different world, could be wearing Man Utd's famous shirt this season.
That man is former Barcelona player Jean-Clair Todibo. Since leaving the Camp Nou, the Frenchman has enjoyed a rapid rise to the top and is now among Ligue 1's best defenders and this was once again evident as Nice upset PSG on Friday. A brace from Terem Moffi - who already terrified PSG on many previous occasions - and a goal from Gaetan Laborde sealed a stunning 3-2 victory.

PSG's two goals were, inevitably, scored by Kylian Mbappe and yet despite his strikes, it was Todibo who actually caught the eye.
Showing Man Utd what they missed out on
Particularly in the early goings of the fixture, Todibo followed Mbappe everywhere and snuffed out any danger the 24-year-old megastar might have posed to Nice's goal. Todibo earned plenty of praise for his showing and deservedly so. It was an impressive performance, not diminished by Mbappe's brace - it is Mbappe after all.
Also on Friday, L'Equipe published an interview with the man himself and he revealed why he had little interest in a move to Man Utd in the summer. The Red Devils wanted Todibo to replace Harry Maguire but the former United captain refused to leave and thus no move materialised.

"It’s very clear the club would not have sold me this summer," Todibo said. “I have given it in-depth thought and I remained calm. I didn’t want to make the wrong choice. I expect to be presented with the full picture. What are you expecting from me? Why am I signing? You shouldn’t arrive at a club asking yourself this. I know what I have in Nice, so why leave? Everything must be clear."
