Real Madrid are eyeing a shock swoop for Jamal Musiala, according to Spanish media.

The 20-year-old has been on an absolute tear in the Bundesliga since making his Bayern debut aged 17. He won the Bavarians their 11th consecutive league title last season with a lovely strike against Cologne and is widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the world.

In fact, over the last year or so Musiala's Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has skyrocketed and it now sits at €95m, which puts the youngster among the top ten of the most valuable players on the planet.

Though born in Germany, which he represents internationally, Musiala actually spent time in Chelsea's academy as a child and he has admitted that he looks back fondly at his time in London and that he visits the city whenever he has the opportunity to do so, prompting transfer links to the Blues.

Now, however, it is not Chelsea who are said to be keen on the youngster but Real Madrid.

Another wonderkid at Real Madrid?

That is at least according to Fichajes, which claims that Los Blancos could make a move for Musiala in 2024. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly given the green light to the operation even though he will leave next summer when the move would take place.

The Spanish outlet writes that this transfer "could be quite a bombshell in LaLiga when everything indicated that Madrid would make a new attempt for Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe."

However, the chances of it actually materialising are slim to none. Musiala is under contract until 2026, so he would command an outrageous fee and that is before we mention Bayern's willingness to sell, which will be nonexistent given the impact the 20-year-old has had since bursting onto the scene.
