'Made of glass' - Arsenal star's injury casts doubt on transfer decision
Kieran Tierney is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines at loan club Real Sociedad.
The Arsenal left-back was forced off in the Basque Derby against Athletic Club at the weekend, overshadowing an otherwise amazing 3-0 win from his exciting Erreala teammates.
The San Sebastian club currently sit fifth in the LaLiga standings and were unfortunate to only draw against Inter in the Champions League. Tierney had been a big part of their success this season, acclimatising nicely to life in the Basque Country.

Now, however, a hamstring injury could keep him out for as long as three to four months. While the exact extent of his fitness problem is not yet known, Spanish media believes that he will at least be out of action for a month. This comes as a huge blow to him, Real but also Arsenal.
Injury struggles
Tierney and Arsenal must surely have been hoping that the Scotland international had finally overcome his persistent fitness issues after a fully injury-free spell last term, the first such campaign of his in recent memory.
One Scotland fan, however, lucidly pointed out that his not getting injured last season was likely due to the fact that he barely played for the Gunners, only featuring in 776 Premier League minutes.

Another fan drew attention to his rotten injury luck, expressing sadness at the fact that such a talented player is 'made of glass.' Tierney will definitely miss Scotland's upcoming EURO Qualifier against Spain and likely also those in November versus Georgia and Norway.
As for Arsenal, they had been open to offloading Tierney in the summer with Man City and Newcastle reportedly interested in the 26-year-old, but finding suitors willing to pay big money in the next windows could prove tough given his inability to stay fit.
