Arsenal to rival Man Utd for €100m La Liga midfielder
Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, who has a €100 million release clause included in his contract with the Spanish side.
Guerra, 20, has emerged as a key player for Valencia this season, after being used in a rotation role last campaign, and his form has attracted serious transfer interest.
The young Spaniard has already scored three goals and provided one assist in nine La Liga matches in 2023-24, and is now being chased by multiple Premier League clubs.

Back in September, Marca reported that both Man Utd and Newcastle United were frequently sending scouts to watch Guerra in action for Valencia.
The 20-year-old has a €100m release clause in his current deal, which runs until 2027, and is now being monitored by several other English top flight teams.
90min have now reported that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are now tracking Guerra, with all three teams watching his progress in recent weeks.

According to the report, they all watched Guerra in action for Spain’s U21 side against Scotland in September, with the Valencia man playing 45 minutes in that encounter. Newcastle were also in attendance for that match, while Man Utd have been at Guerra’s matches this season too.
What has been said about Guerra?
While Guerra is being monitored by some of the biggest clubs in English football, Valencia are insistent that the young Spaniard is not for sale.
The club’s sporting director Miguel Angel Corona told the Daily Mail earlier this month: “We are fully aware that we have a player with enormous potential for the future and the ability to perform at a good level now,” he said.
“That is why the club have decisively moved him up to the first team in recent months. It is not in our plans to sell him to any club.”
