Revealed: Chelsea 'enquire' about €50m Man Utd target
Chelsea have reportedly enquired about the possibility of signing Inter Milan defender Federico Dimarco, but the Italy international is expected to renew his contract at San Siro instead.
Dimarco, 25, has been one of Inter’s standout players over the past year and he played a key role as they reached the 2022-23 Champions League final.
His form for Inter has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all linked with a move in recent weeks.

Now, CaughtOffside have reported that Chelsea have lodged an enquiry about Dimarco’s potential availability as Ian Maatsen’s future continues to be a talking point.
The Dutchman signed a new one-year deal earlier this month, but he may still leave Stamford Bridge in 2024 after not penning a longer contract. Barcelona and Man City have both been linked with Maatsen, but a transfer is not yet close.
The 22-year-old has not yet started a Premier League game for Chelsea this season, and the Blues are seemingly preparing for life without Maatsen.

Dimarco to stay at Inter?
According to CaughtOffside, Dimarco is seen as a viable transfer target and Mauricio Pochettino’s side have contacted Inter to enquire about the Italian.
Man City are also said to be keen, but a contract extension at Inter is reportedly expected to be signed soon, which will likely end links with a move away.
Dimarco’s current deal at San Siro is due to expire in June 2026, but he is happy at the club and would like to extend his stay with the Nerazzurri. Negotiations are reportedly underway, although an agreement has not been reached.
Calciomercato have previously reported that Inter value Dimarco at a minimum of €50 million and would only consider a sale if an offer that matched their asking price was lodged.
Man Utd have also identified Dimarco as a possible target, as per multiple reports, but the Red Devils are unlikely to finalise a deal as the Inter star wants to stay with his current club.
