Haaland drops Real Madrid hint with Bellingham Instagram post
Jude Bellingham’s double for Real Madrid against Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday will go down in the history of the fixture, but the performances of the England international midfielder appear to be drawing the attention of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Bellingham is putting up Haaland-like numbers in front of goal for Los Blancos since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, scoring 13 times in as many appearances following his blockbuster summer transfer.
But while the displays of the 20-year-old are easing Real Madrid’s need to sign a striker, they continue to be linked with centre forwards who can replace Karim Benzema, who left for the Saudi Pro League in the summer.

Kylian Mbappe has long been Madrid’s No.1 target, but there has also been interest in Haaland, who is considered to be using Man City as a stepping stone to move to one of Europe’s historical giants.
Bellingham and Haaland are known to be good friends from their days playing together at Dortmund, but the admiration of the Norway international towards his former colleague continues.
“Unreal this guy,” Haaland posted on his Instagram stories, with a video of Bellingham belting the ball into the top corner.
Can Madrid make Bellingham-Haaland reunion reality?
Haaland may be on Real Madrid’s transfer shortlist, but Manchester City are unlikely to have any interest in selling a player who is under contract until 2027.
Furthermore, any transfer fee for the 23-year-old would be exorbitant. He has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €141m, which is the largest in the world.
In the short term, signing him will be impossible.
Mbappe, meanwhile, is a more realistic goal given that he is out of contract in 2024, meaning he will become a free agent.
Should the France striker choose to stay at PSG, however, Bellingham is performing the role of goal scoring hero quite brilliantly at the Bernabeu for now.
