Barcelona will not make a move for Jadon Sancho in January, according to Spanish media.

The Manchester United outcast is once again in the news after he was reportedly seen partying in a burlesque club with Mike Tyson's son. Sancho remains in Red Devils exile after essentially calling Erik ten Hag a liar and claiming that he has been made a scapegoat for the club's failings.

Speculation around the 23-year-old's future continues with a January exit all but guaranteed as he is still refusing to apologise, meaning that he will continue to be on the outside looking in. Indeed, as exclusively reported by FootballTransfers, Sancho is determined to remain at Old Trafford, though he would be open to a loan in the winter.

Sancho believes that he can outlast Ten Hag and that, under a new boss, he will be brought back into the fold next season. Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona have been linked with the winger, but the latter won't be making a move.

Barca's stance

That's at least what Sport claims. The Spanish outlet asserts that the Blaugrana are "informed of his situation but will not make a move in January."

However, if the issue is still not resolved in the summer and Sancho, who is under contract until 2026 and reportedly pockets a massive wage, will have to go out on loan again, Barcelona could seriously consider a deal.

"The player's salary is very high," the report states, "and in order to carry out some type of operation, Sancho would have to reduce his salary significantly to be able to play at the Camp Nou."

"It is indisputable that Barça appreciates Sancho's quality and it's abundantly clear that he could be a very interesting player for their offensive game...The Blaugrana, in their current economic situation, must be attentive to market opportunities and Jadon Sancho could be one as long as the loan was financially viable."
