The new Sancho? Germany's biggest wonderkid SUSPENDED
Paris Brunner, the biggest German talent in his age group, has been suspended by Borussia Dortmund.
Football has seen a wave of high-profile suspensions in recent months. In the Bundesliga, Anwar El Ghazi has been suspended by Mainz over a pro-Palestine social media post, while many are also demanding that Bayern take action against Noussair Mazraoui for the same reason.
In the Premier League, Jadon Sancho was suspended in September for publicly snapping back at Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman had claimed that his training performances hadn't been up to par. Now, there are shades of the Sancho situation at the English winger's former club - Borussia Dortmund.

The German giants have announced that they have suspended young striker Paris Brunner. A succinct club statement read: "Borussia Dortmund have suspended Paris Brunner. The youth player will not participate in BVB duties until further notice." Precisely why the 17-year-old was suspended has not yet been revealed, neither by the club nor German media.
However, this isn't the first time Brunner has been reprimanded by the club.
Who is Paris Brunner?
The youngster already received a slap on the wrist last term after being late for the team meeting prior to a game against FC Köln. He lost his starting spot but was still allowed to feature in the match. This latest escapade must have been significantly more serious for him to actually get suspended.
It is a shame because Brunner will now not only miss the next Bundesliga matches of Dortmund's U19s but also the club's UEFA Youth League games where they will soon face Newcastle. Brunner is regarded as Germany's biggest talent in his age group and he was recently honoured as such.

The 17-year-old striker received Germany's most prestigious youth award, a gold Fritz Walter Medal, earlier this year, beating out competition from Liverpool and Chelsea-linked Assan Ouedraogo and Noah Darvich, who boasts a €1 billion release clause at Barcelona.
Brunner has scored 10 goals in seven U19 Bundesliga games this term, also scoring once in the Youth League. Since making the switch from Bochum to Dortmund in 2020, he has scored 44 goals in 61 games across various Black and Yellow youth teams.
