The League Two club’s statement read: “ As sorry as we are to disappoint the Swifties in our fanbase, we're going to have to shake this story off.
"There's certainly no bad blood between ourselves and Taylor, but at such an exciting time for us and the club, she surely couldn't have believed in her wildest dreams that we would relinquish our control.
“We'll leave a blank space in tomorrow's pre-match play list for a track from her newly re-released 1989 album as a gesture of gratitude for her interest."

Shake It Off, Bad Blood, Wildest Dreams and Blank Space are all famous Swift songs and were cleverly weaved into the tongue-in-cheek statement.
Notts County famously went head-to-head with Wrexham for the National League title last season, but lost out to the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned club.
The success of Reynolds and McElhenney further fueled rumours of Swift taking over Notts County, but it has now been denied by the club.
Swift does have a connection with sport, however, as she is currently dating NFL player Travis Kelce, who is a tight-end for the Kansas City Chiefs. But, Swift will not be buying Notts County, it has been confirmed.
The Nottingham-based club are currently second in League Two and face National League title-rivals Wrexham on Saturday afternoon.
