Plus, a Chelsea star has been told that he must leave to save his career and new suitors have emerged for Raphael Varane. There's plenty to cover, so let's jump right in.

Maatsen must leave

Chelsea youngster has been urged to leave after putting in a "shocking" display that showed that his lack of game time has made him "two steps too slow."

Cole Palmer is the complete opposite of Maatsen right now and the freshly-minted England star has even been compared to Jude Bellingham.

There were more big Chelsea news as one of the club's board members apparently requested the Blues make a move for Raphael Varane, who could leave Man Utd in January.

This is unsurprising as Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea will be in the market for a centre-back in the winter window.

Griezmann to Man Utd?

Romano also rubbished the rumours linking France star Antoine Griezmann to a move to Man Utd.

Like Chelsea, the Red Devils will instead try to sign a centre-back in January, but one rumoured target is not actually on Erik ten Hag's shortlist.

Giorgio Scalvini might be, however, so here is everything you need to know about the Atalanta defender.

Mudryk flops again

Mykhailo Mudryk was at the heart of controversy as Ukraine faced Italy but the decision to not award him a stonewall penalty overshadowed what was otherwise an awful performance from the Chelsea man.

The blame for his perennially poor form has been pinned on Mauricio Pochettino.

Transfer news

Finally, let's finish up with some more transfer news from around the world. Bayern are preparing a 'very important' contract offer for Leroy Sane amid interest from England and Spain.

Barcelona are eyeing a Liverpool star as a January replacement for Gavi.

The Premier League voted against banning loans between related parties, paving the way for Ruben Neves to sign for Newcastle - but there's a problem.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are set to square up one last time at the club level in February 2024, it has been announced.

Liverpool must 'break the bank' if they want to sign a long-time target of theirs.

The Reds have also received bad news in the chase for a Brazilian wonderkid.

Lastly, Man City are ready to rival Man Utd for the signing of Joao Neves.
