Chelsea and Tottenham are among the clubs keeping an eye on Patrick Dorgu, according to reports in Denmark.

The 19-year-old has burst onto the scene at Serie A club Lecce after his summer move from Nordsjaelland for just €200,000. The left-back's performances have attracted the attention of some big-hitters, among them Chelsea and Tottenham, according to Tipsbladet.

A Denmark U21 international, Dorgu is more likely to move in the summer than in January and Lecce will be hoping that a bidding breaks out for his services because, as things stand, the youngster is still relatively affordable, as it's still early days in his Serie A career.

Moreover, Lecce's sporting director Stefano Trinchera insisted earlier this week that the Dane would not be for sale in the winter window. "He gets a lot of people talking about him," Trinchera told PianeteLecce, "but the longer we have him, the more his value increases. He will stay with us in January, but it is too early to make further considerations about his future. Dorgu is currently on the lips of several big clubs, not only in Serie A but also among the best European clubs."

A bargain option

According to reports in Denmark, Dorgu is currently valued by Lecce at between 75 and 112 million Danish kroner, which translates to €10m-€16m.

It's no surprise to see the links to Chelsea emerge as the Blues are said to be looking at the left-back market. In recent days, Rayan Ait-Nouri of Wolves has been touted as a target for the Blues, which could in turn spell bad news for Ian Maatsen.

As for Tottenham, they already signed a promising Serie A left-back in the summer in Udinese's Destiny Udogie who has been a brilliant recruit for them so far. Given the quality both these clubs boast in that position, Dorgu would come in to offer depth and be a prospect for the future.
