Chelsea and Liverpool 'explore move' for 400-goal teen sensation
A host of European big-hitters are interested in 15-year-old Italian wonderkid Francesco Camarda, according to a report.
The youngster has been making waves this year and particularly this week as he has been called up to AC Milan's senior squad to face Fiorentina. Camarda's claim to fame is that he boasts an outrageous goalscoring record for the Rossoneri's youth teams, having scored north of 480 times in fewer than 90 outings.
This term, while playing for the U19s - against players three and four years his senior - the teenager has notched seven goals in 13 games, which has convinced Stefano Pioli, the head coach of the seniors, that he is ready to help the first team. "Talent has no age, and he has a lot of it," the manager said of his decision to call him up.
"Destiny sometimes creates opportunities for you, we will need to be good at accompanying him in his growth because we are talking about a very young boy. From a character point of view, Camarda is very mature, he is ready to give us a hand if needed, in these days he has done very well. I'm sure he'll have a great future."
Camarda a wanted man boy
Given his goalscoring exploits, the youngster has been attracting plenty of attention abroad. Manchester City are long-time admirers and so are Borussia Dortmund.
90min now claims that Chelsea and Liverpool have also joined Camarda's long list of suitors, while the likes of PSG and Real Madrid are in the mix as well. It is asserted that the three Premier League clubs "have all made overtures to Camarda's family regarding a move to England."
Camarda will only be able to sign a professional deal upon turning 16 in March, so he could be snapped up by any interested club, but Milan are comfortable with the situation and are in no way worried about losing their starlet, as FootballTransfers exclusively revealed in September.
