Juventus have enquired about Jadon Sancho, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The England winger remains in Manchester United exile after essentially calling Erik ten Hag a liar back in September. With Sancho refusing to apologise, the Dutchman has been keeping the €85 million man away from the first team, forcing him to use the academy's facilities.

A lot has been written about Sancho's future, with the expectation being that he will depart - albeit likely on loan - in January in a bid to resurrect a career that has been on a steady downward trajectory since his 2021 move to Old Trafford. Former club Borussia Dortmund have been linked with the 23-year-old, as have clubs in Saudi Arabia again after failing to land him in the summer.

Juventus had previously been floated as a potential destination, but those reports were initially shot down by Fabrizio Romano. Now, however, the transfer expert has changed his tune and revealed that the Bianconeri did indeed enquire about the Red Devils outcast recently.

What did Romano say?

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Italian revealed: "Juventus made contacts in the recent days to be informed on the situation of Jadon Sancho. Juventus are interested in Jadon Sancho, Juventus appreciate the player, Juventus believe that Sancho is a very good player and could be an opportunity on the market."

"But for Juventus, also due to [the] Financial Fair Play situation, the only way to make it happen is a loan deal. Also, the salary of Sancho is an important salary, so the only way for Juventus would be for Man Utd to cover part of that salary. So this is why the deal is not easy at all."

"At the moment, it's not even a negotiation, but Juventus just asked for information on the situation of Sancho. For Man Utd, obviously the best thing to do now is to wait for other clubs to jump into the race...because for Man Utd the best way is to sell the player, not to loan the player out."

"So, this is Man Utd's hope for the January window, but in case they can't make it happen, keep an eye on a loan deal and keep an eye on Juventus."
