How much is Chelsea target Viktor Gyokeres worth?
Chelsea’s hunt for a new striker has reportedly seen them turn to Sporting CP goal-machine Viktor Gyokeres, who only joined the Portuguese club this summer.
The Sweden international signed for Sporting during the most recent transfer window after they reached a €20 million agreement to sign him from Coventry City.
Gyokeres, 25, has begun life in Portugal better than anyone could’ve predicted and his form this campaign has seen him linked with both Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Blues are now hoping to land the Swedish forward and his Sporting team-mate Ousmane Diomande, according to The Evening Standard, as they look to strengthen in attack and defence.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the pair, but it appears their London rivals are currently leading the way in the race to sign them.
So far this season, Gyokeres has scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in just 20 games for Sporting, with Ruben Amorin’s attacking style of play perfectly suiting his skillset.
The Swede is excellent at running the channels, with his combination of pace and power ensuring he is almost impossible to stop.
Given his brilliant start to the new campaign, transfer interest in Gyokeres isn’t particularly surprising, but Chelsea may be forced to activate his €100 million release clause if they want to sign him.
What a run by Viktor Gyökeres! 🔥

The Blues were faced with a similar dilemma in January with regards to Enzo Fernandez, and they eventually succumbed - paying €121m to sign the Argentine World Cup winner.
Although Gyokeres is a talented forward, his €100m price tag is incredibly steep and is far more than his actual value.
What is Viktor Gyokeres’ transfer value?
As per FootballTransfers’ in-house Player Valuation Model, Gyokeres has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of just €18.7m.
This has increased from an ETV of €14.9m in August, but it proves that he isn’t yet worth his insane price tag.
Gyokeres is a very talented forward, but Sporting paid the correct fee for him in the summer and spending €100m would be a vast overpay from Chelsea’s perspective.
That fact is especially pertinent when Victor Osimhen may be available for just over €120m. The Nigeria star has an ETV of €79m, which is far closer to Napoli’s asking price than Gyokeres’ is to Sporting’s.
