Sancho’s transfer value DESTROYED by Ten Hag
Jadon Sancho’s feud with manager Erik ten Hag has cast a shadow over Manchester United’s season.
Since the pair’s very public falling out began in September over a social media post from the winger who claimed he had been made a scapegoat by Ten Hag, Sancho has not played a single minute of action.
All the while, Man Utd have struggled offensively. Marcus Rashford has two goals in all competitions, Antony is waiting for his first goal or assist this season, Rasmus Hojlund is yet to break his Premier League duck while Scott McTominay is the unlikely leader of the Man Utd top scorer table with six goals in all competitions.
Ten Hag, though, will not welcome Sancho back until he apologises.
Speaking on Friday, he said: “Jadon knows what he has to do if he wants to return and it is up to him.
“It’s about a culture and every player has to match certain standards and it was about that.”
This feud has been an expensive one for Man Utd – and not just in terms of the points that Sancho might have helped them win had he been up for selection during a period in which their attackers have misfired.
The player’s transfer value has plummeted since the arrival of Ten Hag at the club.
Sancho's value plummeting
Sancho’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is presently €33 million. This is down from a peak of €109m when he was playing for Borussia Dortmund, and he was still worth €99m when Man Utd bought him for just €85m in the summer of 2021.
Although he has been on a decline since arriving at the club, that has accelerated since Ten Hag’s arrival.
Sancho was worth €74m at the end of his first term at Man Utd, with the figure having been more than halved since Ten Hag took command.
With no end in sight to this impasse and no obvious buyer for Sancho with Juventus having grown cold on a deal, his value will only continue to plummet in the months ahead.
