‘Ten Hag to be sacked after Chelsea match’
Former Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has tipped his ex-team to get Erik ten Hag the sack.
Man Utd host Chelsea on Wednesday evening, with the former Ajax manager under severe pressure.
United have made their worst start to a Premier League season in over 30 years, having already lost 10 games in all competitions.
And Petit believes that defeat to Chelsea could spell the end for Ten Hag.
What did Petit say?
"Manchester United versus Chelsea is a big game, and I can see Man United going out there with a point to prove, especially after all the criticism they've received from fans, pundits, and former players. It'll be a tough one, but I can see Chelsea winning,” Petit told King Casino Bonus.
"I'll go for 2-1 or 3-2 in Chelsea's favour. Neither team is great at stopping the opposition from scoring.
''Man United have not had much stability in the dugout this season and I still don't understand the protection surrounding Ten Hag.
"You can see that he has issues with several players, and that has a great impact on the confidence of the team. These aren't recent issues - it's been the case for months now!
"I don't know what the board are expecting, but I think a loss to Chelsea could spell the end for Erik ten Hag. They have huge months ahead of them with massive fixtures in both the Premier League and the Champions League. They could be out of the latter competition very soon, which is crazy considering the stature of the club."
Man Utd are already out of the League Cup and on the verge of being eliminated from the Champions League.
