Kvaratskhelia's agent provides Chelsea with DEVASTATING news in Osimhen chase
The agent of Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has provided a damaging update regarding Chelsea’s pursuit of Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen, 25, is Chelsea’s primary transfer target as the Blues look to sign a proven goal-scorer amid their struggles this campaign.
Nicolas Jackson has notched seven Premier League goals so far this season, but the ex-Villarreal man has missed several glaring chances and is deemed to be upgradeable by the Chelsea hierarchy.
Osimhen has been identified as their first-choice target and the Napoli star has been told to move to the Premier League by former Arsenal and Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor, among others.
Chelsea were recently given hope in their pursuit of Osimhen after he dropped a hint on social media in late December, while Blues legend Didier Drogba has reportedly been in contact with the Nigerian in a bid to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge.
However, their hopes of landing Osimhen have now been dealt a fresh blow.
Victor Osimhen to snub Chelsea and join the Saudi Pro League?
Mamuka Jugeli, Kvaratskhelia’s agent, spoke to Georgian media channel 1TV and revealed (as per Football Italia): “Osimhen signed a new contract, but do you really think he will spend his entire career at Napoli?
“I can already tell you he will go to Saudi Arabia next summer.
“Napoli have raised his salary, but Khvicha would not accept such a transfer even for €1 billion. He’d rather play for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Manchester City. Kvaratskhelia has different targets and preferences.”
Jugeli then admitted that his client is unlikely to leave Napoli just yet. “Kvaratskhelia wants to have success, and he is already achieving it,” he said.
“He is among the best three players in the world. All will happen at the right time, it’s still early. No team would reject the chance to sign him,” continued the Georgian’s agent.
“Those who know football agree that he has no limits and can only improve. I’ve had contacts with the club. But will De Laurentiis let him leave? Right now, we are tied to a contract.”
