The Nigerian is currently on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, but his recent comments have sparked more rumours of a move away in the summer transfer window.

It’s understood that Napoli will look to block any January departure for Osimhen, but the 25-year-old could leave the club in the summer if a bid of around €120 million is lodged.

Chelsea are currently the frontrunners to land Osimhen, although sources have told FootballTransfers that some members of the hierarchy at Real Madrid believe the Napoli man would be a better fit at the Santiago Bernabeu than Kylian Mbappe.

But, the Blues remain Osimhen’s most likely destination as they continue to pursue a new number nine.

Now, Osimhen has offered fresh insight regarding what his next transfer move may be.

He told Sky: “Of course, one day I’d love to play in the Premier League definitely. But for now I've other plans for my career. When the time comes, everyone will know.”

Osimhen has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 13 Serie A games in 2023-24 and is viewed as the solution to Chelsea’s long-standing striker issues.

Wolves want Armando Broja

Elsewhere, current Chelsea forward Armando Broja has been identified as a transfer target for Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg.

The Albania international, 22, has scored one goal in 13 Premier League appearances so far this season, although he has only started six league games as Nicolas Jackson has mostly been Pochettino’s preferred centre-forward.

Wolves currently prefer a loan with an option to buy deal, but Chelsea will reportedly only sanction a move if they find a suitable replacement for Broja.

FootballTransfers also understand that West Ham United are interested in Broja as they look to sign a replacement for Michail Antonio.

Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has been linked as a short-term fix for the Blues, but he recently downplayed rumours of a move despite admitting playing for Chelsea would be a “dream.”
