Manchester United are one of three clubs expressing interest in securing the services of Real Madrid sensation Vinicius Junior, which could enable Kylian Mbappe to move to the La Liga giants, according to reports.

The Brazilian winger is a regular starter for Los Blancos, where he is on the trajectory to become a legend of the club. But Fichajes has claimed that now they are open to letting him depart if it means allowing Mbappe to come through the door.

Vinicius recently returned to full fitness and played 105 minutes in Real Madrid's Super Cup semi-final victory over rivals Atletico Madrid. The youngster plays on the same side as Mbappe, on the left flank, and there always has been concern over how the World Cup winner would be able to fit in if he were to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join the club.

While Real Madrid are not financially strained, the sale of Vinicius is seen as a move to gather enough funds to secure Mbappe’s high wages.

The PSG star’s contract is up at the Parc des Princes in June and there is much speculation about where he will be heading to, or if he will just remain in the French capital and sign on the dotted line for another season.

Man Utd target Vinicius Junior

The report goes on to say that Man Utd have set their sights on the Brazilian, viewing him as a crucial addition to their already potent frontline featuring Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.

Their rivals, Manchester City, too, are reportedly keen on Vinicius, envisioning him as a pivotal component in their long-term project alongside Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez. Additionally, PSG has shown interest, with the winger seen as a possible replacement for Mbappe.
