Manchester United have been given Fabrizio Romano’s famous ‘here we go’ catchphrase over a late January transfer move, with the Old Trafford club making last-minute decisions in the window.

Football transfer news expert Romano has announced that Facundo Pellistri is set to leave Old Trafford on a loan deal this month, with the Uruguay international poised to return to LaLiga on loan this time Granada.

Meanwhile, he has also detailed the latest on Man Utd’s striker hunt.

Pellistri is set to be the main talking point at Old Trafford, though, with the deal taking the 22-year-old away from the club for the next six months sealed.

“Facundo Pellistri from Manchester United to Granada: here we go!” Romano announced via his YouTube channel. “The deal is finally done after a verbal agreement was reached weeks ago. Everything was ready but just waiting for the green light from Man Utd and Erik ten Hag.

“Finally tonight [Tuesday], Man Utd communicated to Pellistri and Granada that they can complete the deal.

“Pellistri will travel to Granada on Wednesday morning to complete the medical and sign the contract. It’s going to be a loan move.”

But while one winger is going to leave, another is not.

Amad Diallo is not leaving Manchester United,” Romano added. “We had rumours about a potential move to the Championship, but I’m told it’s not true.

“From what I’m hearing, he had a conversation with Ten Hag, and Ten Hag confirmed he wants to trust Amad for the present and future.”

Will Man Utd sign a striker?

Similarly, Romano has confirmed that the Red Devils are not actively chasing a striker, despite links to Hugo Ekitike and Martin Braithwaite in recent days.

“This was never, ever going to be something concrete or possible,” he says. “Man Utd are not working on Ekitike right now. And it’s the same with other players like Braithwaite linked to the club. Man Utd are playing down these rumours. That’s the answer from the club.”
