Borussia Dortmund’s agreement in principle with Manchester United for Jadon Sancho’s loan is worth £3 million, but reports suggest that the Red Devils aren't happy about this figure being leaked as ‘they now look a bit like losers’.

Patrick Berger of Sky Germany has reported on the deal as the saga reaches its third day. It’s believed that Man Utd want a straight-up loan but Dortmund have been asking for an option to buy at the end of the deal,

something which Man Utd are unhappy to do at this point, with the side wanting to wait until the summer window is open to decide.

The ordeal has caused a delay in the move, with Sancho missing flights over to Dortmund to seal the transfer back to his former side.

After taking aim at Man Utd head coach, Erik ten Hag, on social media, alleging that he was being unfairly singled out as a scapegoat, Sancho was urged to issue an apology. Despite the coach's request, Sancho declined to offer one, resulting in his exclusion from the team.

Now it appears that a move back to Dortmund is on the cards, with all parties wanting the deal to be concluded.

How many goals has Sancho scored at Man Utd?

Since becoming a part of Man Utd, Sancho has faced challenges in maintaining consistent form, having scored nine goals and contributed six assists in 58 league appearances.

Dortmund, currently positioned fifth in the Bundesliga, express a strong desire for Sancho to accompany them on their ongoing mid-season training camp in Marbella. The team is scheduled to play friendlies against AZ Alkmaar on January 6 and Standard Liege on January 9, after which they will return to Germany to resume their league campaign against Darmstadt on January 13.
