Man Utd enter race to sign Porto wonderkid
Manchester United are one of several Premier League clubs scouting Porto youngster Ussumane Djalo, according to reports.
Djalo, 19, is yet to make his senior Porto debut, but he has shone for their B team this campaign and is being tracked by a number of English teams.
According to The Daily Mail, Man Utd, Brighton, Everton and Southampton representatives have all been seen in attendance at Porto youth games over the last few months, with Djalo the subject of their attention.
The Portugal U19 international has caught the eye in the UEFA Youth League this campaign, with one goal and two assists in the competition, and is deemed one of Porto’s most exciting young talents.
The Daily Mail have reported that Djalo currently has a release clause of around €9.3 million (£8m) in his Porto contract, although he could be available in January for “considerably less.”
Man Utd want Amadou Onana
In addition to Djalo, Man Utd are also interested in signing another central midfielder - Everton star Amadou Onana.
The Red Devils’ interest has been exclusively reported by FootballTransfers, with Toffees manager Sean Dyche keen on landing Man Utd midfielder Scott McTominay as a possible makeweight.
Furthermore, Erik ten Hag’s side are also in the hunt for attacking reinforcements and have identified both Jonathan David (Lille) and Donyell Malen (Borussia Dortmund) as possible signings.
Aston Villa are interested in David too, as Unai Emery looks to sign someone to compete with Ollie Watkins for the starting berth up top at Villa Park.
In regards to Malen, Man Utd are considering lodging a loan offer with an option to buy as Ten Hag aims to provide Rasmus Hojlund with an adequate back-up. Jadon Sancho is set to head in the other direction, with his return to Borussia Dortmund on loan expected to be confirmed within the next few days.
