Valverde gives transfer answer Real Madrid fans will love following Chelsea and Liverpool links
Real Madrid’s Fede Valverde says that he has no interest in leaving the club, despite being linked to the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and the Saudi Pro League.
The 25-year-old has been on the books of Los Blancos since 2016 and has played 230 first-team matches for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, scoring 19 goals in the process.
He has featured in all but one match that Real Madrid have played this season, starting the vast majority.
This has not stopped him from being linked with a possible move to the Premier League, where Chelsea and Liverpool were linked with him over the summer months.
Asked about that potential switch, he said in September: “Premier League offers? I have the possibility of playing for Real.”
Now Valverde as reaffirmed his commitment to the club when asked about his thinking if an offer from the Saudi Pro League were to emerge.
“It’s really impossible for me to move to Saudi League as of today. No chance,” he told Movistar Futbol.
“My life won’t change for €10m, €20m or €30m. I’m at Real Madrid, the best club in the world.
“I love my life in Madrid, same for my family, so that’s it.”
Valverde has no worries over Madrid future
Valverde’s future at the Bernabeu looks secure as he is under contract with the club until 2027.
He boasts an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €69 million, making him the most valuable Uruguayan player as well as the fourth most valuable playmaker worldwide, with Gavi of rivals Barcelona the man to beat in that regard at €86m.
Given the quality that he possesses, he is liable to attract interest yet he is one player who could potentially be sacrificed by Real Madrid if they were to move successfully for Kylian Mbappe in a transfer saga that is set to run and run.
Valverde may have committed his future to Los Blancos, but the rumours are unlikely to go away too quickly.
