The 30 richest football clubs in the world: Real Madrid break RECORD, Barcelona PLUMMET

Real Madrid have become the first club in football history to generate more than €1 billion in annual revenue, according to Deloitte.

Los Blancos won the Champions League and La Liga double last season, and their heroics have seen them claim top spot in the Deloitte Money League for the second consecutive year.

The Deloitte Money League ranks the world’s richest football clubs based on the annual revenue they generate and Real Madrid lead the way once again in its 28th edition, which counts money earned during the 2023-24 campaign.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side generated just shy of €1.05 billion in revenue, with the renovation of the Santiago Bernabeu resulting in a 103% increase in matchday income.

Manchester City are second, with €837.8m of annual revenue, after winning the Premier League title for the fourth consecutive year, while Paris Saint-Germain (€805.9m) claimed third place.

Manchester United are fourth, ahead of Bayern Munich and Barcelona. The Blaugrana dropped to sixth place following a €40m decrease in revenue from last year.

Arsenal (€716.5m), Liverpool (€714.7m), Tottenham Hotspur (€615m) and Chelsea (€545.5m) complete the top 10.

Meanwhile, Juventus (€356m) fell to 16th place, their worst ever ranking in Deloitte Money League history, after missing out on European football in 2023/24.

Fourteen Premier League clubs are included in the list, with Newcastle United, West Ham United, Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers all enjoying strong years from a revenue standpoint.

Cumulatively, the top 30 richest clubs in world football, as per the Deloitte Money League, generated a record €11.2 billion in revenue across the 2023-24 season - an increase of 6% from the 2022-23 campaign.
