Journalist Burhan Can Terz has revealed that the Gunners are keen on the 23-year-old winger, with the club enamored by his superb display in Galatasaray's recent 2-0 victory over Basaksehir.

Yilmaz has become a crucial asset for the Turkish giants since early December. Over his last six league games, he has contributed three goals and assisted two, with Arsenal scouts taking notice of the talent likened to Bukayo Saka.

Similarly to the England international, Yilmaz is a prolific dribbler, while he can also win headers, force turnovers high up the pitch, and even find the back of the net.

But unlike Saka, the Turkey international can also play further back, in the right-back position, offering a degree of versatility.

Indeed, the player has showcased his adaptability by playing in various positions this season, ranging from left-back to right-winger.

How much would Yilmaz cost Arsenal?

Arsenal's interest has been fueled by Yilmaz's consistently high-level performances of late, prompting their recruitment team to observe him closely in the match against Basaksehir in the Super Lig.

It’s believed that if a move transpired, it could break the transfer record for Galatasaray, with the recent sale of Sacha Boey to Bayern Munich for €30million.

Yilmaz’s Estimated Transfer Value ranks at €7.9m according to FootballTransfers’ algorithm. But if he continues on this trajectory it’s believed that his current side will ask for a premium for his services in the summer, at an amount higher than what Boey left to Bayern for.

Yilmaz is contracted to the Turkish giants until 2027.
