Manchester United's extensive injury list features several key first-team stars, although Erik ten Hag has been boosted by several returns in recent days and weeks.

Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez returned to action against Newcastle and will be fit to face Man City in the FA Cup final, the Red Devils' season finale.

Mason Mount, Victor Lindelof and Anthony Martial will also be fit to make the squad against City, Ten Hag announced ahead of what is expected to be his final game in charge of Man Utd.

Despite making England's provisional squad for Euro 2024, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw are among the absentees, with Ten Hag still missing numerous players due to injury.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through the latest Man Utd injury update.

Man Utd injuries

Victor Lindelof

Victor Lindelof was expected to miss one month of action due to a hamstring problem, but he hasn't played since March.

However, he has been welcomed back into team training and could feature against City.

Possible Return Date: May

Anthony Martial

Martial is set to leave Man Utd when his contract expires this summer, and the Frenchman may well have played his last game for the club.

The Frenchman underwent surgery on a groin injury and is now back in training. It remains to be seen if Ten Hag will give the ex-Monaco attacker some farewell minutes in the FA Cup final.

Possible Return Date: May

Harry Maguire

Harry Maguire has been ruled out since the draw against Burnley due to a muscle injury and he will not be fit enough to play Man City.

He should be back in time for the 2024 Euros.

Possible Return Date: May

Luke Shaw

After Luke Shaw was substituted at half-time against Aston Villa in February, Ten Hag was quick to ensure that his withdrawal was simply a “precaution” for a player with a “history of too many injuries.”

The England international then started the following match versus Luton before being withdrawn in the first half due to a thigh issue, which has kept him sidelined ever since.

England boss Gareth Southgate has admitted that Shaw is a long shot to make the Euros due to his fitness problems despite being part of the provisional squad.

Possible Return Date: May

Mason Mount

Summer signing Mason Mount has suffered three separate injuries this season, but his campaign is not yet over as had initially been thought.

The former Chelsea man has made a swift recovery and could get some minutes against Man City.

Possible Return Date: May

Tyrell Malacia

There has been very little new information regarding Tyrell Malacia’s return over the past few weeks.

The Dutchman was expected to return in January, but he remains absent and will not play again until next season. Ten Hag has not stated when Malacia will return, however, the Dutchman recently admitted the ex-Feyenoord defender "had setbacks during his rehab process."

He has not made a single appearance this season.
