Man Utd and Arsenal rush to CHANGE summer plans after wonderkid update
Manchester United and Arsenal have learned that one possible summer transfer target just became more difficult to attain, with Bayern Munich having switched up their plans for promising striker Mathys Tel.
Tel is in the sights of the two Premier League giants after showing much promise at Bayern, despite limited opportunities as he sits behind Harry Kane in the pecking order at the Allianz Arena.
Indeed, Kane was partly fuelling the transfer speculation, with the 18-year-old Frenchman frustrated by his lack of opportunities under Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel’s imminent departure from Bayern, though, has seen the club change approach over Tel.
According to Sport Bild, the striker was ready to leave if Tuchel had remained at the club, yet the former Chelsea manager’s announcement that he will leave has switched the youngster’s opinion.
Tel is also said to be impressed with the philosophy of new sporting director Max Eberl.
Speaking at his presentation to the media, Eberl said: “Our philosophy is to recruit players who bring success. This could be a big star. We will try to find stars. But we will also try to find high-level players like Mathys Tel. It should be possible to win titles while allowing for development.”

Just last week, though, the door was open to Man Utd or Arsenal completing a move for a teenager with six goals this season.
“Manchester United are not the first English club to be interested in the 18-year-old France U21 international. But something has changed,” Sport Bild stated.
“Until now, Tel had blocked all attempts to lure people away from Bayern. But now he is seriously thinking about a change option in the summer. The task in England could appeal to him.”
Being specifically namechecked by Bayern’s new football boss appears to have done the trick with the teenager.
Romano information confirmed
This confirmed information by football transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano, who had indicated a couple of days ago that there was nothing between Man Utd and Tel.
“One of the priorities at Bayern is to keep Mathys Tel at the club. We had rumours on Man Utd weeks ago, but I told you guys, there is nothing between Man Utd and Mathys Tel,” he said.

“There was a meeting between Gadiri Camara, the agent of Mathys Tel, and Bayern director Christoph Freund, a very positive meeting. Bayern told Mathys Tel that they don't want him to leave, they want him to be an important part of the project. The boy wants to stay, he wants to be an important part of Bayern's future and so Mathys Tel is staying at Bayern.”
So that appears to be that. Unless there is another massive twist in the tale, Mathys Tel is off the transfer market and will not be moving to Man Utd or Arsenal.
