SHOCK club enter race to sign Kylian Mbappe
Real Madrid remain in pole position to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer this summer, but Los Blancos face competition from Manchester United and Liverpool.
That is according to French publication Le10Sport, who have reported that Mbappe is being courted by both English giants ahead of his imminent exit in July.
Mbappe, 25, has informed PSG of his desire to leave the club when his contract expires this summer and he is expected to make a long-awaited move to Real Madrid.
However, Le10Sport have reported that Man Utd and Liverpool, as well as Carlo Ancelotti’s side, have tabled offers to the Frenchman.
Kylian Mbappe to the Premier League?
According to Le10Sport, Man Utd have already sent an offer to Mbappe as they look to begin the INEOS era with a marquee signing. FootballTransfers understand that Frenkie de Jong and Harry Kane are both admired, while Michael Olise and Jarrad Branthwaite remain key targets.
However, Mbappe is another name on their wish-list and an offer has reportedly been lodged.
Liverpool have also tried their luck for Mbappe, but Jurgen Klopp’s imminent departure means a move to Anfield is extremely unlikely.
The PSG superstar has previously spoken to Klopp regarding a possible transfer to Liverpool, however his decision to step down at the end of the 2023-24 season has all but ended the Reds’ chances of convincing Mbappe to join.
Real Madrid reportedly remain in pole position, but Man Utd and Liverpool remain keen as Mbappe gears up for a sensational summer move. Arsenal have also been linked with a pursuit of the PSG star, but he seems destined to join Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior in Madrid.
Mbappe has scored 21 goals and provided four assists in Ligue 1 so far this season, while he’s also found the back of the net on four occasions in the Champions League.
