Arsenal battle Man Utd for €35m midfielder with 'huge potential'
Arsenal and Manchester United are among a host of clubs interested in Sebastian Szymanski, according to a report.
The Fenerbahce midfielder is enjoying a brilliant season, having notched 12 goals and 14 assists across 39 games in all competitions so far. Highly rated from a young age, Szymanski appears to be closing in on finally getting his break with each passing season.
Indeed, according to TEAMtalk, the 24-year-old is firmly on the radar of several European giants, including the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and the Milan clubs, with a view to potentially making a summer move for him.
Given how talented the Pole is, it is somewhat surprising that he is yet to feature at the very top of the European game. A standout performer at Legia Warsaw, Dynamo Moscow and on loan at Feyenoord last term, Szymanski joined Fenerbahce in the summer for a little shy of €10 million and is once again starring.
Premier League switch coming soon?
According to the above-mentioned report, Szymanski could very well be at the heart of a potential Premier League transfer in the summer, with Arsenal, Man Utd and Tottenham keeping a keen eye on his form in Turkey.
Additionally, the Pole is being courted by AC Milan and Inter, however, there is an expectation that the Italian sides would not be able to beat their English counterparts to his signature should they really become determined to snap him up.
The report asserts that sources close to the player describe him as still having 'huge potential' and the ability to 'play at the very highest level one day.' It is claimed that €35m could be enough to tempt Fener into a sale.
Szymanski currently boasts an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €22.5m, having enjoyed a steep rise in valuation since his move to Turkey last summer.
