Liverpool and Arsenal do battle over €50m-rated Bundesliga star
Liverpool and Arsenal both want Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush, according to reports in Germany.
The 29-cap Egypt international moved to Frankfurt on a free transfer from fellow Bundesliga side Wolfsburg last summer and is now valued at €50 million by his club.
Marmoush has enjoyed a stellar first season at Deutsche Bank Park, scoring 15 goals and making six assists across 32 games in all competitions.

The 25-year-old is the team’s top goalscorer this term and they sit in sixth place in the German league table.
Bild reports that the Reds and Arsenal want Marmoush, and that the player dreams of the Premier League. However, he won’t come cheap as he is currently under contract until 2027.
Newcastle and Tottenham have both previously been linked with Marmoush, who has been rated as the second-best striker in the Bundesliga, even coming in ahead of Harry Kane.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal are chasing glory in the Premier League as well as on the European front but are seeking to make moves in the transfer window this summer.
Liverpool and Arsenal seek reinforcements
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been stretched thin by injuries this season with youngsters like Jayden Danns and Lewis Koumas coming into the first-team picture up front.
Arsenal were thought to be seeking attacking reinforcements last winter, with Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney linked and they are also likely to make an attempt at signing the Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres this summer.
Marmoush’s sparkling form
Marmoush is in sparkling form, scoring three goals and making three assists in his last five Bundesliga games since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations where he played alongside Liverpool icon Mohamed Salah and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
He has played a varied role for Dino Toppmuller’s team this term, appearing as a support striker, winger, as well as leading the line.
The Cairo-born forward joined Wolfsburg’s youth ranks back in 2017 and spent four seasons with the seniors, only appearing 48 times in total, and also had loan spells with St Pauli in the 2.Bundesliga and Stuttgart in the top flight.
He forced his way into the Wolfsburg reckoning in 2022-23 before electing to leave the club at the end of his contract.
